Winning Take-5 Ticket Sold At Store In Westchester

A winning New York Lottery ticket worth more than $20,000 was sold at a Westchester convenience store, officials announced.

New York Lottery officials announced on Thursday, Dec. 2 that a Take-5 ticket worth $21,038 was purchased at BNS Variety at 25 W. Grand St. in Mount Vernon.

The winning numbers for the Take-5 midday drawing were 4-9-15-29-38.

In addition to the top prize, New York Lottery paid out 74 $426 prizes for players who matched four numbers, 2,472 $21 third-place prizes, and 27,701 lotto players matched two numbers that won them $1 each, as well as a “free play.”

It is unclear who purchased the winning lottery ticket. 

According to New York Lottery, a total of $132,175 was dished out to the 30,248 winners in the Take-5 drawing. The odds of winning the Take-5 jackpot by matching all five numbers is 1 in 575,757.

The five winning numbers for the Take-5 game are drawn from a field of one to 39. The drawing is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
